Education

Practical, clinically grounded education shaped by real-world patient care.

Clinical Education Programme

CannPrescribe’s Clinical Education Programme is designed for medical professionals across Europe who want to understand and prescribe medical cannabis safely, ethically and with clinical confidence - within diverse and evolving regulatory environments.

In most European countries, medical cannabis sits outside standard medical training and established clinical pathways. Drawing on real-world experience from the UK and insights from across Europe, this programme goes beyond theory to focus on clinical readiness. It equips clinicians with the scientific foundations, practical frameworks and professional judgement needed to engage responsibly with cannabis-based medicinal products, regardless of local prescribing models.

What you will gain

  • A clear understanding of when and how medical cannabis may be considered

  • Confidence navigating consultations with informed, motivated patients

  • Insight into risk, screening and safe prescribing boundaries

  • A realistic view of prescribing within private and emerging care models

  • Access to a professional peer network

  • CPD accreditation (applied retrospectively once externally approved)

  • A pathway into further education, advisory support and consultancy

This advanced training sits within the wider CannPrescribe Pathway - connecting learning with governance awareness, clinical reflection and peer exchange. Our aim is not simply to teach what medical cannabis is, but to support clinicians in deciding when, how and whether prescribing is appropriate in their own clinical context.

If you already know the basics of cannabis prescribing, this programme provides the perfect build to magnify your learning, so you can prescribe with greater accuracy and confidence.

This pathway is designed to support clinicians at different stages - whether you are exploring medical cannabis for the first time or seeking to deepen your practice responsibly.
